3 Laws of Coding Debugging

  1. An object in initialization tends to remain null until acted upon by the programmer.
  2. An object in memory tends to remain in memory until all references have been removed.
  3. For every intent there is an equal and sometimes opposite line of code that you wrote.


Thou shalt not use == to compare objects
Thou shalt not use magic numbers
Thou shalt not have empty catch brackets
Thou shalt not forget sanity checks (null/invalid data checks)
Thou shalt maintain a proper supply of caffeine
